Family Support Services is the entry point for services at the Disabilities Board of Charleston County (DBCC).

To apply, the individual with a disability, or the family should contact the Office of Family Support Services at (843) 805-5835.

Basic referral information will be taken, by a Family Support Services Supervisor.

If the referral is appropriate and early Interventionist or Service Coordinator will be assigned. The coordinator will arrange evaluation and planning services. DBCC services are coordinated with those of other local agencies, such as the school, health and social service agencies, and community mental health centers. Should a person be determined ineligible for services, the coordinator will refer them to other resour
